  • Submitted URLs: The web addresses of the games you submit.
  • Email Addresses: Your email address is collected solely to verify ownership of your submission.
  • Technical Data: IP addresses and basic browser information for rate-limiting, abuse prevention, and basic analytics.

2. How We Handle Your Data

Security and privacy are core to our architecture:

  • Cryptographic Hashing: We never store your email address in plaintext. Before your email is saved to our database, it is passed through a one-way SHA-256 cryptographic hash. This ensures that even in the event of a database breach, your actual email address remains completely inaccessible to malicious actors.
  • No Marketing Emails: Because we only store a cryptographic hash, it is technically impossible for us to send you marketing emails or newsletters. We only use the hash to verify your identity if you return to increase your bid.

3. Payment Information

All payments are securely processed by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy.

GameBid.gg does not process, intercept, or store any of your credit card details or billing information. Your financial data is securely handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy on their PCI-compliant infrastructure. You can review Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy on their website for more details.

4. Third-Party Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties. We only share necessary transactional data with our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy) to facilitate your bid.

Game metadata (Titles, Developer Names, Capsule Images) are retrieved via public APIs, including the Steam Web API, and displayed publicly on the leaderboard.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use minimal cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the website, such as maintaining security sessions and rate-limiting. We do not use intrusive third-party tracking pixels for ad retargeting.
